Excerpts from the diary of A.N. Judd during one of three expeditions participated by by the author under the leadership of General Alfred Sully against the Sioux in 1863-'64 & '65. Judd did Twenty-one original drawings and watercolors, though a few were modifications from Catlin. The diary is, of course, heavily biased on the side of the Cavalry but is still valuable western Americana.
