The Santa Fe Railroad first put out this travel guide in 1900 and reprinted it twice, perhaps more. It was a guide to all the states where the train stopped after Kansas. It is a good representation of a young California, especially Southern Cal. It slides into New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, some of Iowa and Kansas. Very interesting. Front and back sections have numerous pictorial ads for old California businesses from ostrich plumes to nursing hospitals to the Hotel del Coronado.
