The autobiography of the monk, Peter Abelard, 1079 – 21 April 1142. He was a medieval French scholastic philosopher, theologian and preeminent logician as well as a music composer. He has been described as "the keenest thinker and boldest theologian of the 12th Century" . He was disgraced and castrated when he had an affair with, then married and had a child by, Heloise. A sad love story. She took herself to a nunnery and they rarely saw each other again.
