New York: Bobbs-Merrill Co., 1913. First edition. Hardcover. Scarce, clean, tight, tall 4to, 73pp. Slightly faded pictorial cover with some bumping to tips and spine ends. There is a penned notation "Grandma King 1910" on the verso of the ffe at the spine gutter, A book plate is pasted on the half title page. The 12 color and multiple b&w plates are exquisite, crisp, the color is perfect, all are there and clean, no foxing except to the tissue guard, and a small area of the frontis plate of Mother Goose and the title page, but barely noticeable (see photos). Two (p. 13 & p. 43) plates were coming loose and have been repaired (see photo) with clear poly repair tape. but this does not effect the plates. Price reflects these minor flaws. Very Good except as noted / missing or not as issued, not sure. Item #17545
